Proposed Mtwapa Market Roundabout Bridge along the Mtwapa-Kwa Kadzengo- Kilifi A7 Road

Scope: Undertaking field investigations (drilling of 2 No. boreholes to depths of 25 meters each), laboratory testing and preparation factual and engineering geotechnical report.

Barlaw Limited was retained to conduct geotechnical investigation in support of the proposed Mtwapa market roundabout bridge in Kilifi County. The primary purpose of the investigation was to establish the subsurface stratigraphy at the bridge site as well as determine the geotechnical parameters of the subsurface materials for use in developing recommendations for safe and cost-effective foundations.

All the fieldwork was carried out in accordance with BS 5930: 2015 (code of practice for site investigations). Laboratory tests were done as stipulated in the relevant standards and
